You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!

the grinch Pictures, Images and Photos

So I have been lazy in the blogging department. The days come and go and I can't get ahead to save my life! I've been sick this week and had good intentions of posting pictures from the fall before winter gets here but that didn't happen. I will, some day!
The latest fad in the Fuller house is The Grinch! I grew up watching it on t.v., looked forward to it every Christmas (along w/Frosty, Rudolph, Charlie Brown, etc...). Jordan has always enjoyed the story/cartoon too. But Jacob, I think he is the Grinch's long lost brother. The obsession started the weekend before Thanksgiving when my sister and bro-in-law kept my kids. They love going to play with their cousin Justin and this time they watched the Grinch movie (the one w/Jim Carrey). Jacob came home the next day, quoting the movie and talking non stop about the Grinch.
Christmas in 2006, I bought from Kohl's a set of Dr. Seuss books (my kids love his books) to add to our collection and included in my purchase was How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We have read it every Christmas since I bought it and nothing like this has happened!
The Tues. of Thanksgiving, I put all our Christmas books in a basket and set them on our fireplace. This gives the kids easy access to them and because we have so many, they are all contained in the basket. Jacob found it! He pulled the Grinch book out and wanted me to drop everything and read it! I have read it every day since, multiple times. I have the thing memorized. The cartoon and movie was on t.v. earlier this week and I DVR'd it, big mistake. He wants to watch both every day, multiple times a day. He has a Grinch addiction. So with reading the book every day, several times a day and watching the movie/cartoon over and over and over again, I AM GRINCHED OUT!!!!!
To conclude this obsessive story, we were in WalMart Wed. grocery shopping and he asks me, "Mommy, are we going to buy a roast beast"? I started dying laughing right there in Wal Mart, "No son, we are not going to buy a roast beast"!!!!

That's so funny! I'm trying to get my girls excited about all of the Christmas movies but they're just not interested. I loved them when I was little but so far G and L couldn't care less. Roast Beast! ha ha ha
