My Sweet Grandparents

Our family has been through so much these past few months.  Grandma has been sick for about 6-8 months but we didn't know what was going on.  Her eye doctor found a busted blood vessel at a routine eye appointment and from there it's been down hill.  Doctors found out that she had 60% and 90% blockage in her carotid arteries, 2 blockages in her heart and her aortic valve was bad.  On Nov. 29 she went in to have the arteries cleared out and had some complications ( a mini stroke and from that, she had a horrible, 30 minute seizure) from that procedure and her heart surgery was postponed for 3-4 days.  On Dec. 4, she went in for a double bypass surgery and to replace her aortic valve.  As of today, Dec. 21, she's still in rehab but they're looking to send her home tomorrow!  It has been an exhausting few months for the family.  We have all stepped up and rallied around her and grandpa.  Grandpa has been a trooper through it all, never leaving her side.  They will celebrate 66 years of marriage on Dec. 25!  I love my family and I'm so thankful for them!  My kids have an awesome relationship with all 3 of them and for that, I'm so thankful!  Definitely blessed this Christmas to have us all together!

Christmas at BMS

Jake and his buddies celebrated Christmas and the last day of school for Christmas Vacation yesterday!  These boys are a great group of kiddos!  I love that most of them have been friends since preschool and the group continues to grow!  Merry Christmas from Jake and his friends!

My Favorite Ladies

We spent all weekend living at the gym.  Justin and Jacob both played in the Christmas Classic Basketball Tourney this past weekend! Between juggling work, the kids activities, the holidays and Grandma being in the hospital, we were happy to spend a little time together!  I love these two ladies with my whole heart!
