60 Looks Good on You!

My sister, dad and I surprised my mom for her 60th Birthday with a girls weekend in Louisville.  We headed to Louisville on Saturday and shopped at the outlets all day.  We headed to our hotel, the Galt House to freshen up before hitting the town for dinner.  We ate at the Troll Pub Under the Bridge, it was a neat place!  We explored the hotel later that evening.  It was Christmastime so there were some interesting Christmas parties being held there!  Sunday morning we were able to sleep in and enjoy a nice breakfast at the hotel.  Then it was off to see WICKED!  It was an amazing show, better than I had hoped for!  We had a perfect weekend of some much needed girl time!  My mom is so beautiful inside and out.  I am so blessed to have her in my life!

We had a great day decorating the tree!  It by far, is the prettiest tree we've had!

Goebel Farms 2015

We visited a new Christmas Tree Farm today- Goebel Farms!  We typically go to Ahrens Christmas Tree Farm in Reo but we were told last year that they wouldn't be open this year.  It was a different experience for us.  It was raining and the only weekend we had time to get a tree.  The farm is so big, that they have a huge barn full of pre-cut trees.  Instead of taking the risk of getting sick, we decided to hunt for a tree inside their barn.  We found a beautiful blue spruce, which hurt the wallet a little more than Ahrens!  After our tree adventure, we headed to Grace's for some Chinese food.  We've been hearing how good the food was, so we had to give it a try.  We definitely have a new tradition! 

Student Council Food Drive 2015

Loge 4th & 5th Grade Student Council made the paper.  They collected enough food for Thanksgiving baskets for families at Loge and more than enough to contribute to the local food bank!  Great job kiddos!

BHS Freshman take on Castle 2015

The BHS Pioneers went up against the Castle Knights for their first game of the season.  Jordan did great in his first game as a Pioneer.  BHS ended up losing to Castle but it was a proud parent moment seeing Jordan playing on the high school, freshman team!

Loge Wildcats End of Season Celebration 2015

Couldn't be more proud of this group of boys! They'll leave behind a 15-1 record...only one loss in the two years they got to play for Loge Elementary! They have definitely played HARD, played SMART and most importantly, they've played TOGETHER as a team.  They celebrated with a game against their coach and teachers!  After the game, they enjoyed pizza in the gym with everyone!  What a great season!
