Jacob's first day of Preschool

Well, we both survived the big day! Jacob is officially a preschooler! Brad and I had been discussing sending Jacob to preschool for the last few months. We decided it was best for him to experience preschool and since I am returning to work next year when he enters Kindergarten, we thought the transition might be easier for him with preschool under his belt. He has been looking forward to going for the last month. He is attending Imagination Station at Living Hope Commun. Church and he has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Phillips. Tina and her husband Kasey, graduated with Brad and Brad and Kasey are really good friends. I feel completely safe leaving him in her hands. She has 3 boys of her own and little girl due in Dec. and she's an incredible mom! Jacob is also in class with his buddy Anna (our pastor's daughter). Jacob will go Mon. Wed. and Fri. from 8:30-11:00. The school uses awesome curriculum that will have Jacob reading by the end of the year! I am so excited for Jacob and the many things he will experience at preschool! He was a little scared to get in line but once they started to go into the building he smiled and waved. He was excited to use his brother's old backpack for the first day since his preschool bag was being embroidered with his name. I cried a little, I will admit that...I'm a mom!!!

Tomorrow's the Big Day

Tomorrow is Jacob's first day of preschool. He is excited to go and I am having mixed emotions! I am so happy for him but a little sad that he's big enough to go. He has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Phillips so I know he will be in good hands. I will post pictures tomorrow!

Jordan's first day of 3rd grade!

I cannot believe I just sent my baby off to 3rd grade!!! It gets harder and harder for me each year. He was excited to go, he was up and down all night because of the anxiety. When I left him in class, he got choked up a little and that was hard to handle. He's an amazing kid, a little stubborn but a good boy. He's at an awkward age right now, he's learning new emotions and is trying to learn to handle them. I just want the best for him and I pray that God directs our parenting to raise a man of integrity and one that seeks His will.
I hope you have an awesome day Jordan, your mom and dad love you very much and we are very proud of you!

End of Summer Break Cookout at the Dill's!

We had a small cookout to end summer break on Saturday at my sister and bro-in-laws. The kids played the Wii and once it got cooler, they went for bike rides. My bro-in-law made some yummy hamburgers, my sister made her delicious mac-n-cheese and I made fresh from the garden green beans and potatoes. We had cookies, watermelon, cantaloupe and strawberries for dessert. We had a wonderful evening hanging out

The Wittman's have finally moved back!!!!!

Last Sunday, July 26, we headed over to my friend Rebekah's house for a triple birthday party.
She and her family have recently moved back to Southern Indiana after living in Indy, Chicago and Louisville. I am so excited to have her back!!! This picture is Landon Wells, he's my friend Leisa's son. Landon is the oldest between him, Jacob (my son) and Isaac (Rebekah's son). Leisa and I have been friends since 6th grade and Rebekah and I (we're cousins too) have been friends since elementary school. We had the three boys within a few months of each other!

We celebrated Rachel's first birthday (that's her in the high chair), Isaac's 4th birthday and our other cousin Kamren's 8th birthday.

Isaac got a 4 wheeler for his birthday!

Jacob loving the home made ice cream!

This is Miss Lexi Wells, Leisa's little girl. She turned 2 in July and is the cutest little girl I've ever seen!

Jordan riding Isaac's 4 wheeler and the other 3 are chasing him! My boys loved riding/driving it. One day we will have one, oh yes we will!!!

Kamren giving Jacob a ride!

Jacob and Isaac (I wish Landon could have been in the pic too but he had already left)! We had an awesome evening swimming, eating and spending time with friends. I am so thankful for the friendships I have had since before elementary school and beyond with Laurie, Rebekah and Leisa~those don't come around very often!

Day at the Park

Kaylen, Jacob, Kendall and Christopher

Jordan, Camryn and Summer

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the last 2-3 weeks and we have seized every opportunity to be outside that we could get!!! We've been to the spray park and to the Fortress of Fun several times in the last few weeks. The kids have really enjoyed being outside so much and not sweating to death!

Of course my boys can't go anywhere without wanting friends to come along. We've managed to get a lot of play dates in with their friends.
