Once we opened presents at home, we headed to my grandparents house to celebrate. The kids once again were spoiled rotten. I am definitely blessed with an awesome family! Merry Christmas!!
Our Christmas Eve was spent with Grandma & Grandpa Fuller. We headed to their house around noon and enjoyed the day with them. The kids received IPOD docks, IPOD gift cards, movies, clothes and books. The family ate the traditional homemade spaghetti and meatballs along with homemade pizza. I, on the other hand, had grilled chicken and veggies thanks to the dear gallbladder of mine. We had a great day spending time with Brad's parents.
Today is Day 3 of being snowed in. Our pastor cancelled both services for today so we have enjoyed a lazy day around the house. Brad made sausage biscuits this morning for breakfast and we watched HGTV together for a few hours. Jake and I played a few board games while Brad and Jordan watched football. Brad went on my weekly WalMart run so I wouldn't have to get out of the house tomorrow. We enjoyed a yummy lunch of pork burgers and then Jake wanted to make some Snow Cream. He fetched the snow and then we combined the ingredients, it wasn't that yummy to me but he loved it. He and I made some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies to snack on and he and Jordan have played XBOX all afternoon. Brad and I have enjoyed just sitting around the house watching Christmas movies and relaxing. I am fixing to make fried chicken for supper to wrap the evening up. The kids are out of school again tomorrow, I pray Day 4 of being snowed in goes as well as the other 3 days! Stir craziness is about to settle in sometime, I'm alone tomorrow with them....Lord help us!!!
We are now on Day 3 of being snowed in here in Southern Indiana. These pictures are from Friday, Day 1, trip 2 outside. The boys have been enjoying their snow break, even more now that school is cancelled again tomorrow (Monday 9th).
I've been up since 3:30 this morning not feeling well. I finally dozed in and out on the couch to only wake up to Jacob in the living room at 6:15. School had been cancelled since 5:30 due to bad weather and he was up before time to get up for school. Jordan followed at 6:30, which I found hysterical. I have trouble getting them up every morning at 7 for school and on a day when they could sleep in, they were up super early. They began their morning playing the XBOX (yes I am that kind of mom on snow days) and around 8:30 they headed outside to play in the snow and take care of Toby. They had a blast, Jake lasted outside longer than Jordan. He stayed out until close to 10:30! I made them yummy hot chocolate when they came in and now we are hunkered down watching Sports Center. Christmas movies are on the schedule this afternoon, along with Grinch punch, popcorn and Christmas M & M's. I pray all goes as planned and we have a relaxing afternoon....but you never know around the Fuller house.....things don't always go as planned because well, life isn't perfect!
