Happy 8th Birthday Jacob!

Well my baby turns 8 today and will start 3rd grade this fall.  I cannot believe how fast time has flown by.  Jacob is so much fun, that's probably why time has flown--Time Flies When You're Having Fun!  He is funny, smart, determined, focused, adventurous, hard working- a all around good boy.  He's also a worrier and a perfectionist and it drives me crazy!  He loves playing outside, working and reading.  He is all about ESPN, The Cardinals, The Green Bay Packers, IU and The Miami Heat.  He beats to his own drum most of the time, he likes what he likes and doesn't let people sway his decision.  He has many friends, his best friends are probably Christopher and Cooper.  His favorite teacher was his 2nd grade teacher, Mr. Foley. He played for the Vikings in football last fall and his team won 1st place in the tourney.  He enjoyed playing travel basketball with his buddies and having his dad coach him.  This spring, he tried out for the Vipers a travel baseball team and made the team.  He is also playing rec ball and his team has lost only 2 games all season.  He enjoys playing 3rd base and short stop sometimes.  He did wonderful in school this past year, all A's & top reader for his class and for the entire 2nd grade.  Although successes like those above are sweet, what matters most is His love for Jesus.  He loves going to church and has such a sweet spirit about him.  I know God will do something amazing with him.  His determination and attitude is going to take him very far in life.  I love you my sweet Jacob, your momma is very proud of you!

I am now the mother of a 7th and 3rd grader!  So proud of my boys and their accomplishments this year.  Jordan's adjustment to middle school went off without a hitch! His grades were wonderful and he matured so much this year.  Jacob had a wonderful year and loves his teacher so much that he doesn't want to leave 2nd grade!  Here's to a wonderful summer, full of fun and being a kid!

Boonville Vipers - 8U - Boonville Spring Swing

This weekend the Vipers played in their first tourney of the year, the Boonville Spring Swing.  The boys did wonderful with only having 1 full practice under their belts!  During the first round of games, they knocked off Huntingburg with a score of 14-1.  The second round, they got beat by the JCards from Jasper.  Going into the play offs, they were the #2 seed.  Their first game on Sunday, was against Ireland and they won 15-5 and then headed to the championship game.  They faced the JCards again but couldn't pull out a win!  The received second place in the tournament and played some great bball!  We are so proud of Jacob and the team, looking forward to an exciting summer of more travel baseball!

Jake's League Ball 2013

First Church Softball Game of the Season!

Last night our church played in our first ever softball game! Jordan and Brad are both playing on the team, although Brad sat out last night because there were enough players.  Jordan played 1st base the entire game.  He had so much fun!  The team has practiced only once and it showed!!  We lost 15-2 against the champions from last year.  I do believe more practices are necessary!  Everyone had a blast, that's what it's all about!

My Soon to Be 7th Grader!

Yesterday was Awards Day at BMS which means Jordan is one step closer to being a 7th grader.  I cannot stand it!!!  I love my son with all my heart, he's such a good kiddo tween-lol!  We have spent every night at the ball field this week and I LOVE it!  Watching my boys play ball and enjoying the fabulous weather is pretty close to perfect in my book!  Jacob had a game last night so Jordan and I got to sit and talk and relax under a shade tree at the ball park.  It was a great evening!

Jacob's 2nd Grade Field Trip

On Tuesday, May 14, Jacob's 2nd grade class took a field trip to Wesselman's Park in Evansville.  It was a beautiful day to spend outside learning about God's creation!

More Baseball and Work With Mom!

We have lived at the ball fields this week.  Games everyday this week except for Monday & Sunday.  Jordan played last night and his great grandma and grandpa came to see him.  I love that he has a relationship with all four of his "greats".  We ran into our friends from church, who also live at the ball field-lol!  Isaiah loves Jordan, he gets so excited when he sees Jordan.  I had to snap a picture of them together, Jordan is so great with him!

Today Jake had an eye appointment at 9:30 and since school is out today, he had to come to work with me.  He thought he was big stuff sitting at my desk.  His eye appointment went well.  We decided on a new doctor, so this was his first visit to see Dr. Sharp.  His left eye is still in bad shape, he actually got a new prescription for it.  We talked contacts but I think Jake is too young for them, maybe in a few years.  When we decide, he will only have to have a contact for the left eye-crazy!  We ordered new glasses with the new prescription and then we'll order new lenses for his sports glasses next week.  We have to patch his good eye 4 times a week for an hour a day to strengthen his weak eye.  I hate it for the little guy but it has to be done!

Eat, Sleep & Play Baseball!

Last night was a great night for the Fuller boys at the ball fields!  Both boys had a great night, both their teams won!  Jake's fielding was fantastic, he had a double play and several other outs while he played third base.  His hitting was great too, sent the balls to the outfield fence.  His buddy Lane, hit a home run last night so hitting one is on Jake's radar now.  Ugg, something else for him to worry about-lol!  Jordan played terrific too.  His batting was strong, he had 3 RBI's and played right field for 2 innings and 1st base for the other 2 innings.  He didn't get to pitch because he wants to close and we didn't make it to a 5th inning!  The boys love baseball, it's all they want to do in their free time.  I love that they spend 95% of their time outside but with school still in session, it makes it hard some nights.  They are good students but this time of year is hard because they would rather be outside until dark than do their homework!  We still press on, only 10 more days of school left.  It is bittersweet, I'm ready for them to have a break (and myself to have a break) but on the other hand, I have an almost 7th and 3rd grader!  Time flies too fast!  Our week is busy, baseball everyday but Monday and Sunday.  Sunday is Mother's Day and I chose to go see 42, a BASEBALL movie about Jackie Robinson & out for dinner!  I know the Lord gave me boys because I'm not a girly girl- He definitely knew what He was doing!  I am so blessed!

What's On My Mind Lately!

There have been so many things going on inside my head lately.  There's too much worry, self-doubt, self-condemnation, comparison in my life right now.  I never feel like I'm a good enough mom or wife, everyone else has it together but me, I struggle with my weight and on top of it, my children are growing too fast for me to keep track of!  I've been on an organization kick lately, cleaning and reorganizing spaces that I think need it.  I came across a drawer in our closet organizer that I kept shoving pics into.  I don't have time to scrapbook and try my hardest to keep up with this blog- I know it won't mean a "hill of beans" to my boys when they are older but it keeps me going and gives me a hobby/outlet.  In this drawer of overflowing pictures, I found some of the boys when they were 4 and 2 and some of Jordan (who is now 12) when he was a baby!  Ouch, that hurt my heart so much, where has the time gone.  Have I been too worried about being the "perfect" mom/wife that I missed the moments right before my eyes?  I will never be good enough, perfection is something only Jesus achieved.  I have to remember that He's in control of my life, not me.  My self-doubt, comparison, etc.. is not why He died on the cross.  There is so much more to this life than all those labels I place on myself.   I just have to make myself believe it and just not think it/write it/say it!   One day I will overcome those labels, I'm a work in progress.  I thank God daily for His grace and mercy- I definitely need it!
