Change is in the Air!

There has been a lot of changes around our home in the last 3-4 weeks. As a family, we joined Bob's Gym at the end of December. We try to go at least 3-4 times a week and we really enjoy it! The boys and Brad play basketball and swim while I workout on the machines. I started attending water exercise classes with our good friends the Beard's and love them! Stacey and I are going to brave a Zumba class in a few weeks! I feel so much better working out and eating right. I have lost 6lbs as of today and I'm so excited! Another change in the Fuller house, is that I got a job! Last night I received word, that I got a job at Habitat of Warrick County. A good friend that I attend church with, is the Executive Director for Habitat and she approached me with a job offer back in December. I prayed about it and decided it was time to start working again. I was going to wait until Aug '11 once Jake was in school full time but this offer was too good to pass! I will be able to do most of the work from home, once I get the programs up and running. I will be designing brochures, newsletters, calendars, taking pictures on site, scrapbooking, working on their website and lots more! I was originally told it was a 10-15 hour a week job but since then, it has been changed to 25 hours a week! I will also make more an hour than what was originally quoted to me! So God's hand has been in this from the beginning. I knew once I returned to work, that I wanted to do something with meaning. This is more than I could have asked for! It will be rough getting adjusted to a new schedule but our routine should not change too much! I am praising God for His hand in our life, He gives us more than we deserve!

The Three Amigos

Basketball season has started for Jacob. He had his first game Saturday and did great. Brad and our friend Derrick are the coaches and Jacob has tons of friends from school on his team! The team won Saturday 12-4! Jordan has been playing basketball since November for a travel league and will continue playing in tourney's through the end of Feb. He finished the season back in December for another league, BYBA. Justin has been playing since mid December and we finally got to see him play this past Saturday. He is on the Indiana Hoosiers, which makes my boys happy! Justin and his mom and dad are big North Carolina fans, so being Indiana wasn't their first pick-lol! He did a great job and I just love watching the three boys interact. They are truly friends for life or better yet, The Three Amigos!

New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve in Bloomington, God's Country! We bought the boys tickets to the Indiana vs Ohio St. game and it happened to fall on New Year's Eve. We headed up to Bloomington around noon and once we arrived there, we had free time to walk around the campus. We shopped a little and then headed towards Assembly Hall for the game. The football stadium was unlocked so we took Jake to see it. Jordan was 3 when we took him to an IU vs Michigan football game, so he had been there before. This was Jake's first time at the football field. The kids loved it because they were allowed to go on the field! They played a little football and we took tons of pics! We headed to the basketball game and ate supper. The game was so much fun, too bad we lost. We actually knew what the outcome would be when we bought the tickets but you never know! After the game, we headed to Spencer, IN. Our friends the Beard's were visiting some family there and they invited us to stay the night at their place so we didn't have to drive home on New Year's Eve. We played cards, hung out and watched the ball drop. We finally went to bed around 1:30, I felt horrible the next morning! I am too old to stay up that late! We took our time getting home, it felt like a long drive because I was so tired. We came home and took the Christmas tree and decorations down and relaxed the entire evening. We had a great New Year's Eve!

Christmas with the Knight's/Dill's Part 1 and 2

It's the last day of Christmas break and the kids and Brad are watching the Colts game in the living room. I'm catching up on blogging and laundry. Brad's going to church tonight and the kids and I are skipping to get ready for school tomorrow, I'm ready to have our routine back! This post is actually two Christmases but really only one! For the second Christmas in a row, my sister and her family have traveled to Baltimore to spend the holidays with my brother-in-laws family. So on Christmas morning once the kids unwrapped gifts at our house, we headed to my parents new home to celebrate with them. My maternal grandparents and my aunt and cousin came too and we made a huge breakfast and spent the entire day together. The kids opened their gifts from my parents, grandparents and aunt/cousin. They received movies, games, Colts towels, a baseball to finish a collection they had started, sports t-shirts from their fav. teams, and tons more. Once we opened gifts, the kids went outside and enjoyed the snow for about 30 mins. It was freezing up at the new house, it seems like it's 10-15 degrees cooler up at my parents house! Later in the day, my aunt fried chicken and we ate dinner together. There was enough food for an army. We played games and the kids talked their grandma into letting them stay the night!

On Thursday, December 30, we celebrated Christmas with my sister and her family at their house. My grandparents and my aunt and cousin came over as well. We had vegetable soup and chili and my grandma fried her famous corn bread. The kids opened their gifts from my sis., b-in-l and my nephew. The kids played Justin's new XBOX 360 and Kinect he received for Christmas. They were in hog heaven. Some of the adults played a kids game called Head Banz, we had a blast! Jordan spent the night with Justin and Jacob went home with my parents for the evening. We had a wonderful time at both Christmases, we have only 1 left! This Saturday we are having Christmas with my Grandma Knight and the rest of my dad's family. Then it is over for almost another year!
