Weekend Review and a Birthday!

This weekend we celebrated several birthdays with a big cookout at our new home!  We had pork steaks, bbq chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, mac-n-cheese and desserts galore!  My grandma spent the weekend with us and my boys had a blast hanging out with her.  On Monday (27) we celebrated Brad's birthday at home.  Jake had football practice until 6:30 and after wards, Brad's parents came over for dinner.  We had steak, baked potatoes, green beans and chocolate cake.  The kids and I made Brad peanut butter truffles for his birthday and got him a Peyton Manning Broncos shirt.  We kept it simple this year because we leave for Florida in less than a week!  We had a wonderful weekend spending time with our family!  I am so thankful for Brad!  God sent me an amazing husband, father and man of God.  I love him more and more every day!

First Day of School 2012

Today was Jacob's first day of Second Grade and Jordan's first day of Middle School!  Cannot believe time has flown by so fast!

Zeller Camp 2012

The boys had an awesome experience this past weekend.  They were able to attend DistionXion, the Zeller basketball camp.  Luke Zeller played for Notre Dame and Cody plays for IU-which is our all time favorite basketball team!  They learned so many things, basketball skills and character traits.  We also attended chapel on Sunday morning, Luke preached on Colossians 3:23 and about David and Goliath.  It was such an amazing experience for my boys!  The thing that I am most excited about was that they learned about what a CHAMPION(S) is made of.  C= character, H=honesty, A=attitude, M=motivation, P=perseverance, I= I am responsible, O=optimism, N=network of friends and S=serve others!  What a great lesson, we will definitely send them back next year!

Otters Game with the Vipers!

Tuesday evening we headed to Bosse Field with the Vipers to see the Otters play.  The boys dressed in their uniforms and were able to go onto the field for the pregame festivities.  Their names were called along with the Otter that played their position.  They stood on the field with the Otters while the National Anthem was played.  The boys had a blast, it was a great evening!
