Fun Weekend!

This weekend was a busy weekend for the kiddos.  Jordan had his friend Ben over all day Saturday.  They hung out and played XBOX, basketball and football and watched sports.  Jacob's friend Cooper had a huge Halloween party later in the day.  He had a blast playing games, basketball, bobbing for apples- you name it, they did it!  After Jake got home, we ordered pizza and watched a couple football games and then took Ben home around 10.  It was a great Saturday!

Jake ~ EBA

Jake played his first basketball game of the season tonight!  He is playing at Evansville Basketball Academy with Boonville Blaze.  He is very excited to be playing down at EBA and then a few tournaments with his team.  Jake's team lost but it was their first game as a team of 10, they will only get better!

Hoosier Hysteria 2012 in Instagram Photos!

My camera is still down, hoping to get it up and running soon!  I used my phone during Hoosier Hysteria, so I didn't get any great pics!  It was an absolute mad house at Assembly Hall on Saturday!  We left out early Saturday morning for Bloomington and as soon as we entered town, we knew it was going to be a LONG day!  We usually shop at our fav. fan store on Kirkwood, stock up on IU fan gear but nope- not this year!  It was crazy busy so we headed to the stadium to scope things out.  The amount of fans/lines didn't look too bad so we headed for Steak -n- Shake for lunch.  Back to the stadium and well, we were wrong- it was bad.  We apparently couldn't see the GINORMOUS line formed behind the stadium- we then headed to the end of the line.  We walked and we walked and we walked and we were 100% sure we were not getting in.  We waited in line for 2 HOURS and finally at 4:00 we got in!  We rushed to find seats, squashed with almost 18,000 people to watch our Hoosiers in a practice of sorts and see the new faces for the 2012-2013 season!  It was INSANE but it was well worth it!  They are ranked #1 on two polls, so getting tickets for a game-hmmmm that might be hard on the wallet- we'll see!  We finally arrived home at 12:30 the next morning, went straight to bed- no teeth brushed, nothing- just bed!!!  LET'S GO IU!!!

Practice Makes Perfect!

It is so funny how we go from one sport to another within a day or so!  Jacob's football season ended on Oct. 13 and his first practice with Boonville Blaze started on Oct. 15!  Brad is coaching him again this year and he has put together a pretty awesome team of 2nd graders.  His team is Boonville Blaze and they are going to play in a few leagues down at EBA and 2-3 tourneys close to home!  Jordan doesn't play football (even though he has decided to next year-yay!!!) so he's been playing basketball in a league down at EBA since Aug.  He just finished it on Oct. 18 and will try out on Oct. 29 for his middle school team- Boonville Panthers!  I just love having boys, they are easy to please- hard to control sometimes but I wouldn't have it any other way!

My Baller!

Jordan just finished playing in a league at EBA in Evansville.  Next week he gets to try out for his middle school basketball team!  Good Luck Bub, we are proud of you!!!

Goebel Farms

Saturday, October 13, we headed out after Jacob's football game to Goebel Farms in Evansville.  This was our first time there and we will definitely go back!  It was Jacob's turn to invite a friend over, so his good friend Cooper came with us.  We went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch, went through a couple corn mazes, the kids played in the loft and we finally decided on which pumpkins we wanted.  After the farm, we headed to Krispy Kreme for donuts and milk!  We then went home and the kids played the XBOX and watched a movie.  It was a great day!

Football Champion in the House!

Jacob, my #13 and the Vikings are #1!!!!!  The boys won the 1st/2nd grade championship game on Saturday, October 13 at Boonville High School!  Jacob had a great season playing for the Vikings!  He had friends on his team and had a great coach!  He LOVES defense and was a beast on the field!  Now on to basketball season, his first practice was last night!  There is nothing more I would rather be doing, than watching my boys enjoy life!
