Another Fun Day Brought to You by Holiday World!

We enjoyed another day at Holiday World today! We went with my sister and nephew and had a blast! It was hot but overcast most of the day, which made the day tolerable! We went swimming in the Wave Pool, played in Kima Bay and rode the Lazy River. It was a perfect day ended with kids buying Silly Bands at the Christmas Store.

Waiting Game

Our home has been in shambles for the last 2 weeks! Over the weekend, Brad and our friend Bobby were busy putting in a new floor in our kitchen. We went with something easy to lay, fairly reasonable in price and something we would like if we didn't sell the house. It took them most of the day Saturday to lay the floor and I even helped a little! The boys were at my parents all weekend so that made the process even easier! Our house will be on the market 2 weeks tomorrow and PRAISE GOD we have our first showing tonight! Our open house will be held next Sunday, August 1. We are so excited and are trusting God to lead us in the right direction.

And the Summer Fun Continues

It was another hot day yesterday, so we ventured to the pool once again! The kids were so good and we all had a blast! It is so nice that my boys are old enough to be on "their own" for the most part. Jordan's had a lot of swimming experience being 9 but Jacob is getting better and better at swimming- thanks to Ms Kristin and Ms Lisa. They both had fun slipping and sliding down the water slide. I love spending time with friends, it made for an awesome day!

Country Living is the Life for Us.............

Or at least that's what we hope for anyway! We have put our house on the market and are in the process of fixing some things around our home to make it more marketable. Our awesome friend Bobby (and Stacey for sacrificing her evenings with him) is helping Brad with the projects. Tonight (it's actually 12 midnight right now) they put a new bath room floor in! We bought something cheap but nice to replace the old floor that the kids ruined (the corner near the tub) with splashing too much while in the bath tub! We are also working on the back hallway getting the ceiling fixed and will eventually put a new kitchen floor in. So much going on right now but we have waited a long time for this. We bought our current home 12 years ago and we have out grown it and then some! We never intended to live here that long, just saw it as a "fixer upper" and planned to move out in 5 years. We had Jordan and then I felt led to stay home, then we had Jacob and the rest is history. The good thing about buying our current home so CHEAP and I mean CHEAP- $25,000!!!! and fixing it up, was it allowed me to stay home with my boys! And that's PRICELESS!!!! So we are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives, one that hopefully will bring country living and lots of room to romp and stomp for our boys!!!!

The Joys of Boys and Summer!

Summer has become one of my favorite seasons. As the boys have grown older, it has become more enjoyable. They love being outside! Last week Southern Indiana had some cool, summer nights and we took advantage of them. One night we stayed out until 10:00 and played and tried to catch lightning bugs. We also took advantage of some cool baseball weather in the back yard. I love having boys, they are so much fun. They don't care to get dirty, sweaty and they love (unless they're in a mood) to be outside!

Otters Game

Last night we headed to an Evansville Otters Game, the first one we've been to all year. We love the atmosphere at the ball field. The game went to 5 innings and then some of the ball field lights went out. We waited until 9:30 for the lights to be fixed but had to leave because Brad had to be at work this morning. Good thing we left, because the lights were never fixed and the game was post poned to finish this evening. We had a great time last night even though we only watched the Otters play 5 innings! I'm sure we'll catch a few more games before their season is over!

Water Wars

We held our first annual Water Wars Competition in the backyard. We ran errands all morning and went to lunch with Mamaw Knight before she left for Chicago. Once we were back home, I made the kids work on their summer worksheets. Then the craziness began, we had down time and they cannot handle down time. It was extremely hot outside and it was too late to go to the pool, so we headed outside to play on the slip-n-slide. I couldn't get the handle off the hose, so we put our heads together and came up with Water Wars. We filled 9 buckets with water and placed them around the yard. The kids used water balloons and their spray rockets to fight each other. They had a blast and want to do it again. I have a feeling this will be a weekly thing and a summer ritual in the Fuller house. I have never seen the kids laugh so hard in my life. It literally was good, clean fun and my boys were still talking about it once dad got home and into the night! Water Wars was a success and a great way to cool off!

Jacob's Swimming Lessons

Jacob has been taking swimming lessons from Ms Lisa and Ms Kristin all summer. He absolutely loves the water (both the kids do) so we thought it was necessary for him to learn to swim properly. He has learned several different types of strokes, he has learned to dive off the side of the pool, he can dive to the bottom of the pool and get rings and he can jump off the diving board and swim to the other end. After 5 classes, he was bumped up to another level and is really doing great. Ms Lisa said today that he has become a great swimmer this summer, pretty good for his first summer! Jordan was 5 when he started lessons and for us, it has been the perfect age for the kids to learn.
