This past weekend, we traveled to Sullivan, Indiana for Jake's basketball tourney. The boys played 2 pool games on Saturday and finished their bracket 2-0. We were finished with games around 5:30 that evening, so the team headed to Backstreet Pizza in Sullivan for a team dinner. The kids had a blast and the adults had a great time visiting. We were scheduled to play at 8:30 a.m. our time Sunday morning and we were worried about the boys because they usually don't play well that early. They won their game against Central and advanced to the next round. We then were scheduled to play Sullivan at 11:30 our time and we won that game as well. Third round we won against Linton which placed us in the CHAMPIONSHIP!!! We played Loogootee at 3:30 our time and lost but the boys gave it their all. They played with such heart and left it ALL on the court!!! Second place isn't too bad considering as 2nd graders playing up against 3rd graders last year, we never won a game. I am so proud of the boys, they have come a long way!!!!
