Jordan's 8th (4/11) and Jacob's 4th (5/31) Birthday Parties!

My best friend Laurie made their birthday cake!

This year we decided to have the boys parties together. Jordan's birthday was on 4-11 so the party was a few weeks after his actual birthday. Jacob's birthday is 5-31 so the party was a month early for him! We decided to do it this way because they both wanted a baseball party, they were getting a basketball goal together and Holiday World passes that they could start using before Jacob's birthday. It worked out great! We had their party on Sunday (4/26) at City Lake in Boonville under a shelter house. The weather was great and the kids had so much fun!

Mamaw Knight made her famous sugar cookies and decorated them into baseballs for the boys!

Jordan receiving his Cardinals shirt from mom and dad! We bought it for him to wear to the game in June!

Cardinals hat and baseball pitching net from us too!

$$$$$- he was excited for this, he received a total of $100 in cash! I need a loan!

Jacob enjoying his day!

His Cardinals t-shirt for the game in June!

Super excited for his birthday presents! He acted like this for Christmas too, so much fun!!!

Trying to figure out his gift- a Holiday World pass from Mamaw and Papaw Knight, Great Mamaw and Papaw Chandler and Aunt Tracy and Caytee

We had so much fun at the party. We served ball park nachos, chips and cokes. I handed out peanuts and cracker jacks for the guests to take home! The boys had a blast hanging out with their cousins and friends! We are truly blessed to have wonderful friends and family!

Happy 8th Birthday Jordan!

I cannot believe my baby is 8 today! It seems just like yesterday we found out I was pregnant and were so excited. When we found out the baby was a boy, that made it that much more exciting. Brad was so happy to have a son to share his love of life with. All the milestones that you have reached Jordan, we have been so proud of you. From learning to walk, starting Kindergarten, playing your first baseball, football and basketball games, has been such a joy to watch. You have a heart that is as big as this world and I know God has something special in store for you. Continue to seek His face and keep Him the center of your life and everything you ever want will be yours if it is His will. I love you my sweet boy, you have made me and your daddy proud!
At age 8 you like: basketball, baseball (playing and watching them both), video games, school-esp. science, you have many friends and love being around people, you love going to church and your grandparents house to stay the night, you love IU basketball, Colts football and Cardinals baseball, you love to draw and be outside.

Good Friday Activities!

Today we spent most of the day making Easter cookies and decorating them. My mom came over and after we went out for lunch, Justin and Jacob helped her roll out the cookie dough and cut it. They ended up getting into a flour fight and this is the result!

Once Jordan got home from school, they began decorating their own Easter cookies. Each kid had their own pile of cookies to design the way they wanted them!

My Grandma Knight came up for a few hours and spent some time with the boys.

This is one of Jacob's many creations, a pile of sugar!

Some of Jordan and Jacob's cookies!
After we cleaned up the cookie mess, the kids dyed Easter eggs.

Jacob slung blue food coloring all over his stomach!

We had a fun day celebrating Easter but the kids know the true meaning of Easter. I am so thankful for what Jesus did for me on the cross.
