Golfmoor Baseball Association/Golfmoor Little League

Golfmoor Baseball Association/Golfmoor Little League

Highlights from Golfmoor's Sports Writer:

Tuesday 6/18-Boonville opened up the 7u division by also sweeping both of their games upending East Lightning 6-0 and Mt. Vernon 19-1. Mike "Spider" Webb's team will be a contender for the 7u crown.  Golfmoor opened up their all-star season with a bang by downing Mt. Vernon 16-1.

Thursday 6/20-In the 8u division, Boonville split its games by downing East (Greenfield) 7-2 and losing to Golfmoor Green 9-3.  Golfmoor Orange finished unbeaten in pool play by beating Carmi 16-1. Tonite went well and we saw double plays, diving catches, home runs, and fantastic pitching.  I love baseball, and we are seeing high level action from some special kids.   How Blessed are We!!!!

Boonville Black Socks - 7U - Golfmoor Tourney

Jake was offered the chance last year to play down with another team during AllStar season.  He was offered the same chance again this year and he absolutely loves it.  He is playing for the 8U Vipers and 7U Boonville Black Socks this summer.  This week he is playing for both teams at Golfmoor in Evansville.  The Golfmoor Tourney is very time consuming and involved but it is one of our favorites as a family. During the week, the games are played to position the teams for the main tournament over the weekend. Monday night he played with the Vipers and got rained out half way through the 1st inning.  That game will be thrown out and he will play with them again on Thursday for a double header!  Last night he played with the Black Socks and they won both games by a landslide.  He is bummed that he cannot play with them tonight because of his main commitment to the Vipers (they have practice tonight).  Between both boys having tournaments this week, we are on baseball over-drive!  We love it, wouldn't want to be doing anything else!

So thankful for my amazing husband!  His love for the Lord & his family does not waiver.  The sacrifices he makes for us are numerous.  He is my everything and I am so thankful he is mine.  I couldn't ask for a more loving man to be the father of my children!  Happy Father's Day Brad!

Bath Time for Toby

Toby was neutered a few weeks ago and we had doctors orders to keep him calm and away from water for 10 days.  Before his surgery, he was in need of a bath but we never got around to it.  He was long over due, so Monday the kids went to work scrubbing his dirty coat.  They all enjoyed it and Toby smelled so much better!  I think we need to look for a bigger tub for him for next time-lol!

Cards vs Giants

To finish off a great weekend, Sunday morning we headed to St. Louis for our annual Cards game with my parents.  We chose the Cards vs Giants game this year since the Giants won the World Series last year.  The weather was perfect, our seats were great but the Cards didn't pull off a win for us!  The game ended with the Giants winning 4-2.  The game was slow paced and Molina got ejected from the game due to a fight with an ump!  Freese hit a home run, which Jake loved (Freese is Jake's fav).  After the game, we ate at Joe's Crab Shack and headed home.  Now we're ready to see them play the Reds in Cincinnati in early Aug.  Our goal is to tour as many baseball stadiums as we can, we'll see how that goes!

It was a great day- I LOVE having boys, they are so much fun!  Watching them experience things they love makes me so happy!
