Fall Break 2014

We had an amazing fall break!  Friday we went to see Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day with my sister, nephew, aunt and grandma!  It was an adorable movie!  After wards, we headed to Newburgh to Azzip Pizza- it was delicious!  Friday evening we went to Brad's parents house for dinner and Saturday Brad and Jordan worked all day at church.  Sunday we went to morning service and then to see Jus play football!  His team won by 1 touchdown!  The boys went home with my mom/dad to spend the night after the game so Brad and I vegged all afternoon/evening on Sunday.  Monday we headed to Reid's Orchard in Owensboro with my mom, sis, and nephew!  We had a great day picking apples and pumpkins.  I can't believe how fast the 4 day weekend flew, looking forward to our next break together!

Happenings in the Fuller House

It's been busy around the Fuller house lately- I know every household in America is that way anymore!  We've been only juggling Jacob's activities for the past 9 months- Rookies baseball and fall ball, so it's been calmer than usual.  He just finished a great fall ball season with only two losses.  His school hosted grandparents lunch last Friday and both sets came!  Unfortunately, that calm is fixing to be replaced with absolute chaos!

Basketball season is officially here in the Fuller house.  Jacob tried out for the 4th grade feeder, travel team on Sat., Oct. 4!  He made the team and Brad will be assistant coaching with Jordan Aigner.  Their first practice is tonight, so it's here in full force- they will start a league down at EBA in less than 2 weeks!  Brad and the boys spent all evening last night signing up kids for BYBA.  Brad and his friend Mike are the directors of the program this year and Brad is coaching Jake's team.  Jordan has middle school tryouts in a few weeks, so we'll be juggling 3 different basketball schedules-YIKES!!!!

Sports keep us busy but we try very hard to make family time a priority!  We spent some time at my grandparents last week.  I love seeing my children love on their great grandparents!  School has kept us busy too!  Both boys had projects due at the same time (10/6 & 10/8).   We finished Jordan's right away and he turned in part of his last Friday!  The rest he will be working with a partner in class.  Jacob's took close to a week to finish- it was very involved, so we chipped away at it a little at a time!  He turned his project in yesterday!!!

Busyness is definitely over rated.  I know I will miss all these crazy times when the kids are grown.  I try my hardest to cherish the moments of peace and chaos.  I don't always succeed but I try.  I am so looking forward to spending fall break with the boys- I took off the entire break!   I'm preparing for the craziness by holding on tight!!!!   So very thankful for my life!

School Project Time in the Fuller House

It is amusing to me that both boys have projects due at the same time.  I guess the teachers are trying to get them in before the end of the grading period/fall break.  Jacob had to make Indiana out of salt dough and label cities, rivers, lakes, the capitol, etc....it was a huge undertaking.  The finish product will be posted later- we are still chipping away at it, we have been since Monday, Sept. 29!  Jordan has 3 projects due for science 2 days before Jake's Indiana project is due.  Part 1 was tackled last night- he and Brad worked on a 3D atom project.  He is suppose to be working on the rest of the projects with a partner at school- I DO NOT like partner work- the teacher did not ask for my opinion, so I'll have to live with it I suppose!  I am so ready for fall break!  The countdown is on, only 4 more school days!!!
