Happy 4th Birthday Jacob!!!!

Today is Jacob's "real" birthday! Although we celebrated in late April with Jordan, we did a little celebrating this weekend too! Yesterday, we took him, Jordan and a friend to Gattitown (like we did with Jordan) to celebrate. Last night, he spent the night with his Mamaw and Papaw Fuller and woke up 4 years old at their house....he thought that was cool! He asked me, "Will I be 4 still tomorrow mom"!!! I said, "Yes baby you will, for another whole year"!!! It is amazing how time flies, it just seems like yesterday that we found out that we were pregnant again and that we were having another boy. My pregnancy and delivery with Jacob was easier than with Jordan. He was a great baby and still is pretty easy going! I pray that God uses Jacob to do mighty things in life. He is not afraid of anything (which could be good or bad) but I hope God takes that freedom and uses him for something big. Jacob, mommy and daddy love you and we are so proud of you and we pray that you always keep Jesus in the center of your life.

At Age 4 you liked or did: playing baseball with Jordan and daddy in the back yard, you run really fast, you like playing with Kendall and you get along really well with her, you like playing with Anna sometimes... you both fight like an old married couple, you like tools....you work on everything and think that everything needs to be fixed....you like hanging out with Carter France at the ball field and try to take on the big guys when they come around and mess with you, you like bugs, frogs and pretty much any kind of animal, you like planting things in the garden with both your Papaws, you love being outside and getting really dirty, you like the Backyardigans, Dora, Diego, Curious George, Sid the Science Kid, you like Thomas still, coloring, drawing, candy and fruit, going to preschool, church and spending the night with your grandparents and cousin, you like cuddling and being read to.

Frog Hunting Again!!!!!

We had planned today to go fishing with my dad and nephew but plans changed. Once we got to my parents house, the boys started playing basketball, then baseball and they didn't want to leave. Justin rode his bike, Jacob the motorized motorcycle and Jordan practiced baseball with his papaw. After resting in the house to cool off, the kids came back out and started frog hunting. They only found one frog but they were happy! After Jacob held him for a while, Jordan dared him to throw the frog in the neighbors pool. Of course he does what his brother says, so he tossed him right over the fence into the pool before I could say stop! They were laughing so hard, it was funny! We let him swim for a little bit and then their papaw fished him out and let him go! Of course, the mom in me made them run inside and wash up! Jacob is not afraid of anything and will pick up about anything. He's all boy!!!

Last Report Card

On Jordan's last day of school, he brought home tons of things. Tucked away in the pile of mostly trash, was his last report card. The last one of this year, Honor Roll again! He also found out that his teacher next year will be Mrs. Holland and we are super excited about that. We have heard good things about her and better than that, he has tons of friends in his class. We are so proud of Jordan and what he has accomplished this year. Hopefully he will get rejuvenated this summer and be ready for 3rd grade come August!!!

It Can't be all Play all the Time!

It can't be all play all the time, so this weekend we thought we better take the time and get some work done around the house! Our landscaping was in much need of some new mulch so we woke up early Saturday morning and started working!

Our friends Bobby and Stacey loaned us their truck and the boys loved riding in it. Brad wishes he would have gotten an old truck instead of the car he bought a few years ago.

We went to a local nursery to purchase the mulch and the kids got a kick out of the lady loading the mulch with a bobcat.

The boys were so good while we worked. Jordan practiced two pitches he learned the week before at baseball lessons.

Jacob hung out around the truck and played in the mulch.

It was a great day weather wise, to work in the yard. We started at 8:30 and finally finished in the yard around 4:00.

Brad mowed and weed eated and I cleaned all the kids outside toys including their clubhouse.

After we took showers, we headed out to the Beard's house for a cookout. We made fajitas and had angel food cake, cool whip and strawberries for dessert. It feels good when you get things on your list accomplished and the house looks SO much better!

First Otter's Game of the season!

We love going to see the Otter's play and getting free tickets to go, is even better! We decided to take the kids Friday night to their opening game. The boys love going to cheer the Otter's on and because they love baseball SO much.

We went with my mom (my dad had to work) and my sister, nephew and brother-in-law. The Otter's lost but won against the same team we watched them play on Sat. and Sun.

I'm sure there will be more games this summer planned! The boys are looking forward to going to a real MLB game in June! I think Brad and I are more excited to take the kids and see their expressions!

Jordan wanted a picture with Evan the Otter but every time he comes out, he gets swarmed with kids! This was the best we could do! Jacob wanted a picture too but he was a little afraid!

Awards Day at Loge School 2009

Jordan waiting to get his awards!

He received the Honor Roll award, Accelerated Reading award and the Summer Reading Program from the library award.

We are so proud of Jordan! He worked so hard this year to make good grades. He struggled a little with English this year but he worked hard and it paid off!

Jordan and his buddy Evan Overton, they were in the same class this year! Evan got the Principal's Award for getting straight A's all year! Way to go Evan!

Jordan and Mrs. Schmitt~ we have been so blessed to have had awesome teachers every year. Mrs. Schmitt has taken the time to nurture Jordan in all areas and we are thankful for her.

Jordan and Jacob hanging out in the gym after the awards. Jacob can't wait to go to school, he even knows the principal by name and by his voice~ Mr. Watson came over the PA while we were there to lead the pledge and Jacob knew exactly who he was!

A proud mom and her son!

Jordan, Logan J. and Olivia- these three were in class this year together. Jordan really bonded with them, especially Logan J. I am happy and sad at the same time, I am happy Jordan loves school and does well but sad that he's already a 3rd grader. Where has the time gone?

Jordan's 2nd grade Field Trip

All the second grade classes from Loge Elementary went on their field trip to the Children's Museum of Evansville today. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves.

A Bible Study with Jacob

Jacob and I were in the van waiting in line to pick up Jordan from school. I had K-LOVE on the radio and they were talking about Moses and Jake's interest perked. He said mommy, "Where is Moses in the Bible". I told him it was in the Old Testament and in the book of Exodus. He asked, "Where is Mary in the Bible", and I told him. He said, "Mom, you know that big rock they moved, Jesus was in there." I said, "Yes, Jacob he was but He went back up into Heaven".
Jacob then says, "I know how we can be with Jesus, we can just jump into the Bible". I started laughing, he was cracking me up at this point!!!!
Our conversation went a little deeper. "Mom," he says, "I know what Jesus was doing on the rock". "He was praying". I said, " yes he was before he died on the cross for us." Jacob then says, "Mom, when will we see Jesus again?" I said, "When we die and go to Heaven and live with Him". Jacob asked, "Will we eat supper with him?" I said, "Yes, baby we will"! He asked, "Mommy, will He invite all his friends too?" At this point, I was about to cry because I couldn't believe I was having this conversation with my 3 1/2 year old. I said, "Yes Jacob, He will invite all His friends"!!!! Praise God for the faith children have!!!!
