My Little Shepherd

Jacob played a shepherd in our church's Christmas program. He did a great job but was a little nervous! Jordan was the stage manager and did a great job too!

Nice List !

The kids received Letters from Santa last week. I think I had our realty company (when we sold our house in June) send them to the boys but I'm not 100% sure! Jordan doesn't believe in Santa anymore but plays along for Jacob. He was a little stumped when he received the letter, especially when he asked if I knew where they came from and I was not sure! The magic lives on in him a little I think, especially after getting this letter! So both of my kids are on the Nice List this year, I definitely think they deserve it, they've been pretty good! Today is their last day of school and they are ready for Christmas break- I think I am too!

IU vs UK

Our Hoosiers finally beat the Wildcats!!! We snuggled up at home last Saturday and watched the Indiana Hoosiers and Kentucky Wildcats battle it out in Bloomington at Assembly Hall. The house shook with excitement as our Hoosiers took the lead and maintained the lead throughout most of the game. Towards the end, they gave Kentucky the lead but at the last second (literally) Christian Watford made the winning basket and we beat the Wildcats by 1 point! My guys went wild! The Hoosiers are finally back!

Loge Wildcat Basketball '11-'12

Jordan got to finally play basketball for Loge! He was so excited to finally be a true Wildcat! He attended a week of try outs and made the A team! We are so proud of him! Next year, he will be in middle school, I seriously have no idea where the time has gone!

Let it Snow! First Snow of the Season!

Today is the first snow of the season, so I'm reminiscing about our warm and wonderful summer! Actually, I forgot to post these pictures from the summer so I wanted to make sure I had them included for my memory book! We had a blast hanging out with my best friend Rebekah and her family. Her nephew Kam came and he and Jordan had a blast together. I am so thankful for her (she's my cousin too) and her friendship. We have been friends since the 6th grade and have never missed a beat- even when she lived in other states!

We also hung out with the Wongler's (our friends from church) this summer. We attended an Evansville Otter's game with them. We took our nephew Justin with us and the boys had a ball! Justin, Christopher and Jordan got to go out on the field and play games for prizes! It was such a great summer!

Fall Fun/ Halloween 2011

We had such a good weekend! A busy one but a good one! We made tie dyed Halloween shirts....ok let me rephrase that....we attempted to make them. The black ran so bad it turned the white part of the shirt gray. Jacob was wanting to wear his to school on Halloween but it didn't happen! We also made caramel apples and they were a success. I am trying to hard to keep our traditions going even though we are STILL living with my parents!!!!! But there is hope of building in sight, PRAISE GOD!

Halloween was a great day too. Jordan had a basketball game until 5:30, then we headed to Newburgh to hang out with my sister and her family at their new home. It is beautiful! My sis and I took the two younger boys out to trick or treat around their neighborhood. Jordan stayed behind with my parents, Brad and my bro-in-law and helped hand out candy. We had lasagna and garlic bread for dinner. It was a late night for the boys but they had a blast. I cannot believe it's November already! Time sure does fly when you're having fun!

Jacob - Jr League Football 2011

It's been a great season for Jacob. Jacob was so happy his Great Papaw Chandler came to watch a game. He played Center for Reitz and Jacob played that same position all season. We enjoyed every minute of football season and look forward to next year!

Pumpkin Carving

It's pumpkin carving time! The boys were worn out from our trip but not too worn out to carve pumpkins! Once we got home, we rested and then out to carve pumpkins we went! The boys drew the faces and Brad cut them out. We put a candle in them and lit them once it got dark. It's the simple things in life that make me happy....I love my family so much!

Fall Break - Hoosier Hysteria '11

Hoosier Hysteria fell perfect with the boys' fall break, so we headed to Bloomington! Both boys love going but Jordan more than Jacob! Jordan's whole world revolves around basketball, especially IU Basketball! He was so excited to see IU's new recruit Cody Zeller and get his autograph...and that he did! We let him loose on the floor after wards and he managed to get all the player's autographs. There were probably hundreds of fans on the floor but he got the job done! We knew it would be a late night, so we rented a hotel room in Columbus. Jacob fell asleep on the way there (it was an hour drive) and we still needed to eat supper. It was going on midnight their time so we went to McDonald's. We finally arrived at the hotel, ate and let our food rest and made it to bed around 2 a.m.! The next morning we headed to the outlet malls in Edinburgh. The boys didn't need much, I had already bought them new fall/winter clothes. We picked up a few things and headed to our favorite restaurant Montana Mike's! We were all exhausted and ready to head home. The boys had a great fall break!
