Oh Christmas Tree Farm

Jacob, Sheba (the owner of the farm's dog), Jordan and Papaw Knight on the lookout for a Christmas Tree.
This is a tradition I kept that my parents started when I was a child. Every year my parents, my sister and I would go and look for a tree at Ahren's Christmas Tree Farm in Reo, IN. We never had a fake tree and this is something that I loved as a child and wanted to pass down to my children.

My mom and dad go with us and we plan the weekend to make sure they can make it. My dad helps Brad set up the tree and bring it in the house. My parents sometimes stay and help us decorate if they can.

Last year, my boys fell in love with Sheba. This year they were more excited to go see her than to find a tree for Santa to put presents under!

Here I am with my boys and my dad. I have no idea what he was doing! The only thing that would have made the trip better is if I were wearing my Clark Griswald coat. We love that movie and every time we go and get our tree we think of Clark and the fam!

Jacob looking a little lost!

We found a tree and we're on our way to pay for it! 6 foot tree was $24, I don't remember what kind we bought.

Brad says we usually fight when he puts the lights on but I disagree! This year we went fightless (if that's a word!) and all was peaceful in the Fuller house! Here is Jordan decorating the tree.

Jacob and dad hard at work!

The boys with the finished product. The manger was made by my mom when she took ceramics. We had it under our tree growing up and now I have it!!!

Last year, my mom bought the boys their own tree for their rooms. They were so excited to have a tree in their room!

Jordan busy at work!

It was a fun-filled day and we ended the evening watching movies. The boys have their trees in their rooms along with a statue of Santa Clause! Christmas is so much fun but we always have to remember the true meaning, the gift of Jesus Christ!
