Life can really be overwhelming at times. Brad has been working so much the past 2-3 months that I feel like I'm on auto pilot most of the time, just trying to make it through the day. Our day starts at 4:45 AM (5:30 for me) and we go almost non-stop until close to 9PM. Brad doesn't get home until close to 7PM most nights, so once I get home from work I am a solo parent for most of the evening. Between football, football practice, basketball, church, homework, laundry, supper and anything else that gets added to the list- I am about worn.
I have to constantly remind myself that I CANNOT get this time back and even though I'm drowning right now in life- I AM BLESSED! I am blessed because my husband has a job. I am blessed because I have children and a husband to take care of. I am blessed because I have the money to buy food to cook. I am blessed because I have the money to buy clothes to wash. I am blessed because my children are healthy enough to play sports. I am blessed because I can freely worship my Jesus anytime I want!
With life being so crazy, we take every opportunity to have a stress free, plan free night! Friday night was one of those nights- once Brad got home, we fired up the fire pit and roasted sausages and hot dogs. We ate chips and drank coke and made smores and chilled out with each other and Toby. It was a nice evening, not a perfect evening but perfect enough for me. I love my family and my life and I am blessed beyond measure. I try really hard not to take my life for granted. I praise the Lord for the life He has given me- I do not deserve it at all!
