Random Jake Pics

Well since April it's been a whirlwind around here and I have fallen so behind on the blogging thing! We sold our house and close today and leave for vacation next weekend. I am stressed but am trying to remember in the midst of this craziness, that God is in control!

The boys had their baseball jamboree on April 30 and the pics above are from Jake's first game in Instructional Pitching Machine. He is doing great and still loves baseball! He brought the flower home for me from school for Mother's Day. It took all he had to keep it a surprise! He's such a fun little guy and is growing up so fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jordan's 1st Science Project

Jordan had to make a robot for his 3rd grade science class. It could be made of any materials from around the house. We chose styrofoam and sprayed it gray. His name is Carpenter 300 (named after Chris Carpenter, a pitcher for the Cards) and he is a pitching machine robot. He comes with diff. speeds to pitch to you. Jordan had to present his robot to his class today, I am anxious to see what kind of grade he receives!

Jordan's first day of 3rd grade!

I cannot believe I just sent my baby off to 3rd grade!!! It gets harder and harder for me each year. He was excited to go, he was up and down all night because of the anxiety. When I left him in class, he got choked up a little and that was hard to handle. He's an amazing kid, a little stubborn but a good boy. He's at an awkward age right now, he's learning new emotions and is trying to learn to handle them. I just want the best for him and I pray that God directs our parenting to raise a man of integrity and one that seeks His will.
I hope you have an awesome day Jordan, your mom and dad love you very much and we are very proud of you!

Last Report Card

On Jordan's last day of school, he brought home tons of things. Tucked away in the pile of mostly trash, was his last report card. The last one of this year, Honor Roll again! He also found out that his teacher next year will be Mrs. Holland and we are super excited about that. We have heard good things about her and better than that, he has tons of friends in his class. We are so proud of Jordan and what he has accomplished this year. Hopefully he will get rejuvenated this summer and be ready for 3rd grade come August!!!

Jacob and Anna

I taught preschool today and I wanted to write this down so I could remember it in the future:
Jacob and Anna were coloring their spring worksheets. Anna finished first and she started hovering over Jacob's shoulder to see how good he was coloring. He looked at her and said, "Quit, I'm trying to consecrate (concentrate!)." I'm sure most men would say that's just a like a woman!!!! They fight like a old couple married for 50+ years!
