Wrapping Up the Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend!  We spent time with family and friends and the weather was AMAZING!!!!!!!  Saturday we headed out on a new car seeking adventure.  Brad has been doing research for a couple weeks and has visited several car lots talking to salesmen to begin the wheeling and dealing process of buying a new vehicle.  Our local car dealership could not work with us financially as far as what we wanted to pay and by 10:00 a.m. we were out of time to make a trip to Evansville together.  Brad dropped Jake and I off at home because he had a birthday party to attend at 11.  Brad and Jordan headed to Evansville to wheel and deal with a bigger car lot and I took Jake to the party.  Jake's buddy Seth turned 9 and he celebrated with a pool party.  Seth plays baseball with Jake so most of the Rookies were in attendance.  It never ceases to amaze me how well the 11 of them get along.  Their chemistry is untouchable and unique!

Jordan learned the fine art of dealing with a car salesman from his father.  After a few phone calls to me to make sure I was on board, we finally purchased a new vehicle.  It was been 7 years since we've had a car payment so I am not looking forward to that part.  A new car was a must, a need not a want in the Fuller house!  Jordan & Brad enjoyed some father-son time together, which is good for them both!  After the party and the car purchasing, we met up at home to rest for an hour before heading to my parents place for a bonfire.  My great aunt was in town from Indy, so we threw a family gathering together at the last minute.  We visited, the kids played corn hole with their Great-Great Aunts and their great grandparents.  We made sausages, hot dogs and s'mores and stayed outside until the lighting bugs and moon came out.  It was an awesome evening spending time with family and breathing in the fresh, country air!

Sunday we went to morning service, had lunch together at Los Bravos, went home to rest and then back to church Sunday night.  I wish we could be off together all the time but we've gotta work so we can play.  Next vacation is a few weeks away, so looking forward to it.  Love my family!
