The Count Down is On!

I intended to post this when I made the sign (May 11) but I didn't-lol! We are so excited about going on a family vacation this summer. It has been 3 years (sad I know) since our last BIG trip. We have been on 2 major trips since we've had kids. In 2004 we took Jordan to Disney World/Beach and in 2007, we took the boys to DelRay Beach in FL and traveled down to Miami and the surrounding areas. We take several mini vacations every year and we always have a blast together! This year we are going to Outer Banks, NC and we are so excited. We are staying for an entire week in a house 1/2 mile from the beach. We plan on going on a dolphin cruise, driving down to Oracoke Island to go on a pirate ship on the ocean, tour several lighthouses, take a Wild Horse jeep ride and many, many more exciting things. We are going with my parents and Brad's parents, this will be our first vacation to travel with both sets. We are looking forward to getting away and spending quality time together. Bring on vacation!!!

St. Louis Zoo ~ Day 3

On our last day in St. Louis, we visited the zoo. The boys enjoyed the Sting Ray Cove where you got to touch sting rays.

Jacob loved the monkeys!

One of Jacob's "meltdowns" during our trip. It was so hot the weekend we went but the kids were troopers. We originally were going to the zoo on Saturday but it was fore casted to be 96 degrees. We switched days with the Magic House and went on Sunday to the zoo, it was 85 degrees that day. It was a beautiful day!

My fav. animals!

Jake and his buddy, papaw!

Home where they belong!!! I feel like all I take are pics of Jacob but Jordan's getting too big for pics, I have to bribe him to take them!

The penguin exhibit was awesome too. After the zoo we headed to Fitz's for a late lunch. If you are going to be in the St. Louis area, especially around the zoo, you have to try Fitz's. Some friends of ours the Meier's recommended it and it was awesome! We had a wonderful time on our vacation, just wish it would have lasted longer. Next year, it's Disney World....yay!!!!
