My Mother's Day weekend was spent crying, cleaning up after the storm but most importantly it was spent being thankful my family was ok. On Friday early evening a storm hit our small town of Boonville & created a path of destruction everywhere it hit. Thankfully, I took the kids to our basement as the storm approached. Jacob was scared beyond belief and I will never forget the terror that consumed him that day. We came out with untouched but our home was slightly damaged. Others in our town had trees on their homes, we were blessed with the damage we had. There were no lives lost or not injuries, thank God. Saturday we spent most of the day cleaning up, it was an exhausting weekend...physically and emotionally. The insurance adjuster is coming out tomorrow (Wed), I pray that we get enough to pay for everything that is broken.
