The Three Amigos

Basketball season has started for Jacob. He had his first game Saturday and did great. Brad and our friend Derrick are the coaches and Jacob has tons of friends from school on his team! The team won Saturday 12-4! Jordan has been playing basketball since November for a travel league and will continue playing in tourney's through the end of Feb. He finished the season back in December for another league, BYBA. Justin has been playing since mid December and we finally got to see him play this past Saturday. He is on the Indiana Hoosiers, which makes my boys happy! Justin and his mom and dad are big North Carolina fans, so being Indiana wasn't their first pick-lol! He did a great job and I just love watching the three boys interact. They are truly friends for life or better yet, The Three Amigos!

Jordan + Basketball = One Happy Kid

Today was Jordan's last game for BYBA. He was happy and surprised to get a trophy today. The league decided not to have a tourney like they did last year, so the trophy was a total surprise for Jordan. He loves basketball so much, he enjoys playing it, talking about it and watching it. I have to admit, his dad and I enjoy it just as much. We love watching him play and knowing that he's having fun!

Jordan's Basketball

Jordan is playing on two different teams this year. One is Boonville Youth Basketball Association, also known as BYBA. The other is a team he tried out for and made, it's called the Boonville Feeder League or travel team. Saturday, he played in a BYBA game and the team won 40-4. He has a few kids from his school on his team and Saturday was able to play with a friend from another school. A kid was missing from his team and they pulled Jackson from another team and he and Jordan were able to play on the same team! They did awesome! Jordan has one more game in this league and then he only has the travel league to juggle! It has been a challenge, some weeks we have basketball every day (including Sunday which I don't like). Jacob plays for CAM Sports (Communicating A Message) through a church in our area. Brad is his coach and he has several friends on his team. So it's pretty much basketball 24-7 ! I love basketball season, actually I enjoy every sport the kids play. It's so much fun, even though when they are older it's definitely more intense!

Christmas Classic Tourney

This weekend Jordan and the rest of the Boonville team are participating in the Christmas Classic Tourney. Today we played Tecumseh, Castle and Owensboro and Sunday, we play Heritage Hills and Central. This is Jordan's second time to play in a tournament. Today marks the 6th day this week for some sort of basketball and I'm about beat. I love having boys but they wear me out!
