Jordan's 10th Birthday Party

I cannot believe I am writing a post about my 10 year old's birthday party. Funny thing is, he's been 10 years old now for 2 weeks- seriously time goes by way too fast. The day started off rainy but God gave us a beautiful day (4.9.11) to celebrate! We had Jordan's party out at our new land (actually at my parents house) and the kids had a blast! There was close to 50 of our friends and family there and it was the perfect time! The kids played, the adults played cornhole and hung out, we had a weenie roast, made smores, ate some delicious cookie cake made by my best friend Laurie- it was a great evening. Jordan received money for his birthday and is wanting to purchase an IPOD Touch with it. We are so blessed to have wonderful family and friends. Happy 10th Birthday Jordan, we love you very much!!!!

God Gave Us This Day!

Today is a special day around our house. Brad and I have been married 13 years and Jordan turned 10 years old today. I cannot believe this many years have gone by! I love Brad more and more every day and God continues to grow our marriage stronger every day. I cannot imagine experiencing life with anyone other than Brad! It was one of the best decisions of my life, marrying him! Our first gift was Jordan Michael, born at 5:32 a.m. on this day! He continues to amaze me every day with how much he is maturing and learning. He is a sweet boy (when he wants to be) and has a tender heart. He is hungry for the Word and I pray that God uses him in a mighty way. Jordan, mom and dad are so very proud of you. You are a wonderful son, loving young man and such a great big brother to Jake. Your love and enthusiasm for all things sports, amazes me. The way you retain scores, players names, teams, etc... blows my mind! Your love for your friends and family is deep. Your love for God is evident too, you are constantly on us to do devotions and I pray God uses your hungry heart to serve Him. You are truly a gift from above and I love you my first born. I love these two special men in my life and thank God for them daily!

A Beautiful Day for a Birthday Party!

God gave us a beautiful day to celebrate Jordan's 9th birthday! It was in the mid-70's and sunny, the perfect day for a birthday at the park! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends and they came out and celebrated Jordan's day with us. There were 20+ kids there and each one was so well behaved! Jordan received $200 in cash and $30 in gift cards, a pass to Holiday World for the year, a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey and t-shirt and a water gun! He raked it in! We are so thankful for all God has given us and Jordan is a perfect example of God's blessings!

Well Bub you are 9 today and it doesn't seem possible! You were such an awesome gift on our 3rd anniversary! Mom and Dad love you and are so proud of the young man you are becoming. You have a tender heart that looks out for those around you. You are an awesome big brother to Jacob. You love God will all your heart and belt out those praise and worship songs to Him in the middle of doing just about anything! You are an awesome athlete and you are stubborn when it comes to playing but eventually in your time, you give it your all. You do things in your time, when you are comfortable and you do not rush into anything without thinking about it first! You are an awesome student in school, you have to be pushed sometimes but that will only make you stronger. You are such a great friend to others and your teachers love you and say you are an awesome young man and they wish there could be a classroom full of you! You are a wonderful grandson and you love your grandparents and great-grandparents with everything in you. You are a great cousin to Justin, he's just like a brother to you. You like to organize and tidy things and given the responsibility, you will finish whatever the task is at hand. You like to cook sometimes. You like to be outside at all times. You like to play video games and you are a sports fanatic like none other! Most importantly, you are you and God will use you if you only allow Him to. He has great things in store for you and that's why we push you so hard. Don't give up when it gets too hard, God will guide you through. We love you and are so very proud of you!
