Jacob's 6th Birthday Party

We celebrated Jacob's 6th birthday late, his birthday falls around Memorial Day and there is never a good weekend to have it. We left for vacation the weekend after, so once we got back we celebrated. I love that his birthday is in the summer, pool parties are the way to go! Richard's Pool is nice and very inexpensive to host a party. He had around 25 kids there and everyone one of them were good as gold! He received some pretty neat gifts and tons of money. My best friend made his cookie cake, she did an awesome job as usual!!! I cannot believe he turned 6 already, time sure does fly when you're having fun!

Birthday Celebration - Part 1

For the last couple years, we have been taking the boys out for a birthday dinner of their choice. Jordan picked AppleBees with just the four of us and had a friend stay over after his party. We let Jake bring a friend to his dinner because we feel like he's too young to have any one over yet. He picked his buddy Cooper from school. The boys were so good and had lots of fun eating pizza and playing games! We are having a birthday party next week at Richard's Pool, part 2 of our celebration!

Jacob's 6th Birthday

Today is Jacob's 6th birthday and what joy he has added to our lives. He is full of energy and mischief but the good kind of course! There is never a dull moment when he's around.

Mom and Dad are so proud of you. You are such a smart little boy, you listen well, you love everyone, you give your all in everything you do and you have a tender heart for those around you! Your love for all things sports is just like your big brother and you look up to him so much(he is pretty fond of you too!)! You are a natural in baseball, soccer and basketball and we can't wait to see what you do with football! You love wrestlers, video games, remote control cars, skateboards and any kind of ball. You love school and have many friends. You love Jesus and love going to church! You love aggravating people and you love to wrestle! We love you and thank you for the joy and love you bring to our house! Happy 6th Birthday Jakers!!!!! We are so proud of you!!!

Jacob's 5th Birthday Party

We finally celebrated Jacob's 5th birthday, a month late! He turned 5 on Memorial Day and then we were busy getting vacation things together, so we decided to have his birthday party once we returned from the Outer Banks. When Jordan turned 5, we did something a little bigger instead of the typical birthday party at the park. We kept the tradition with Jacob and had a pool party at Richard's Pool. Everyone had a blast, it was so nice to have the entire pool to ourselves. We sped through cake and presents so we had more time to swim. There were probably close to 20 kids there and everyone of them were great. The adults went swimming too, we all had a wonderful time. My best friend Laurie made Jacob's cake (she makes their cakes every year) and she out done herself this time! Jacob was so excited about his cake, he and the other kids thought it was so cool! I cannot believe Jacob is 5, he's such a joy and we enjoy every second with him!

Happy 5th Birthday Jacob!

Jacob, I cannot believe you are 5 today! It seems just like yesterday that I found out I was pregnant with you. We tried for over a year to have you and the day I found out I was pregnant, was one of the happiest days of my life. From the time you entered this world, you have been a carefree soul. You slept through the night at 6 wks. and were the happiest baby next to your brother that I have ever seen. To this day, you are still happy go lucky and such a good little boy. There is not too much you are afraid of, you take everything head on! You love your big brother with everything in you and imitate almost everything he does- the good and the bad! You are a mommy's boy and I LOVE it!!! You love to cuddle and love when mommy rubs your face and hair. You love your daddy and get so excited when he gets home from work. You and your brother spend every night outside with daddy playing baseball and basketball or whatever else you feel like playing. You love your Aunt Mindy, she's one of your favorite people. You love your grandparents and great-grandparents and get so excited when you see them. You love all things outdoors, you prefer being outside above anything. You run everywhere, you play non-stop and when you hit the pillow at night, you are out cold! You have mastered the monkey bars and didn't quit trying until you did! You love playing baseball, basketball, Super Hero Squad, GI Joe, Legos, Lincoln Logs and pretty much anything that you can use your imagination with. You love building tents with you brother and playing video games under them! You did well in preschool and are going to begin Kindergarten in a few months. You have a sweet spirit about you and make us laugh all the time. I pray that you always allow God and Joy to reign in your life and that whatever you do in this life, you do it unto Him. Always keep God in the center and He will direct your paths. I love you my baby boy, you are such a joy and I am so thankful for you.
