We had a great weekend in Elizabethtown, KY. The Rookies finished 2nd place out of 9 teams. Saturday they ended up 1-1 in pool play beating the Speed and losing to the Bats. After the last game, the entire team went to Golden Corral which was Jake's restaurant of choice since it was his birthday! After dinner we headed to the hotel and the boys went swimming for a couple hours. It was early to bed because a 6am EST wake up call was in order for the next morning-that is 5am our time!!! Our hotel was 30 mins. away and we had to be at the field 45 mins. early, it was very early! The boys played 3 games to make it to the championship. The final game was against the Speed and they shut us out 3-0! The boys earned 2nd place and are now 3rd place in the 8U BPA standings! We are so very proud of Jacob and his teammates!
