On Friday, May 31 Jacob turned 8! We celebrated that evening with a few of his buddies and went bowling. He was allowed to choose 3 friends like his brother did and man that was hard for him. He didn't want to leave anyone out but fair is fair around here. He chose Cooper, Dom & Connor and man did they have a time. We started off at Wendy's with dinner and then a little bowling. Everything is a competition when you have boys (so I've learned) and it isn't any different with bowling. Each game of bowling was divided into 2 teams (4 games total) and they were intense but fun! There was cheers, boos, dancing, high-fives and FUN! After bowling, we took the boys out for ice cream at Sonic. It was a great evening of laughs and memories. Next weekend Jacob is having another friend over for a birthday sleepover and Otter's game. I love the memories my kids are making with their buddies!
On Saturday evening, we celebrated with family and friends. Jacob wanted a Dairy Queen ice cream cake decorated like the St. Louis Cards. I think DQ did a great job! We grilled out and enjoyed hanging out while the kids played. It was a wonderful evening and weekend to celebrate Jacob! We are blessed with great family and friends!
