Brad put together a team last year of boys Jacob's age (2nd grade) to play basketball. This year we added 5 more kids to the team and are playing in tournaments as well as EBA. The boys just finished playing in a league at EBA and played in their first tourney this past weekend! We registered the boys for the Boonville Christmas Classic to play up against 3rd graders. Our team is young and we knew we were probably going to lose every game but the experience for the boys was worth it. They played a total of 4 games from Fri. to Sun. and lost every one by a huge margin. The experience and growth they gained was tremendous and each boy played their heart out and never got upset for losing! The character they displayed was incredible on and off the court. I love each one of the boys on Jacob's team, the parents are great and the relationships we are forming are priceless! Great job Boonville Blaze!!!! Looking forward to more EBA and tourney games and seeing the boys improve!
