This was the most amazing, wonderful, fun, beautiful, etc... thing we have ever done on vacation to this day! This surpassed our Disney World trip by leaps and bounds in my opinion! The jeep ride lasted 3 hours and it was the best 3 hours of our entire vacation! Our driver Dan was an awesome tour guide, he was up on his history of the Outer Banks back to WWII. He explained to us how the Coast Guard worked, how the settlers found their way to the Outer Banks, how the ocean shifted the land and took over the maritime forest, so much info that I cannot touch the surface of it! It was truly an experience that we will remember forever. The kids LOVED it! As soon as we started our tour, we saw horses on the beach, which according to Dan was rare! Horses were everywhere and he explained how they survive in the wild, so interesting! There was a lot of rough terrain and some instances we were being thrown inches out of our seats (there were no seat belts)!!!!!!!!! The scenery was breath taking. It was our favorite part of the vacation!!!!!
