Goodbye Summer 2008....Hello Fall!

We had an awesome summer and although we did not take a big family vacation like last year, we had some memorable moments this year! The summer began with the ending of Jordan's baseball season! He loves playing baseball and is becoming quite good even if he's my kid! He started taking baseball lessons this summer for the next year. He also attended a baseball clinic and basketball camp this summer.

We also spent most of the summer at Holiday World. My parents buy us passes for Christmas and this allows us to enjoy Holiday World during the seasons it's open! The kids love swimming, so this is right up their alley!

Since both my boys are baseball fans, we took them to an Evansville Otters game this year. Jordan has been before but Jacob was only 1 month old the time he went. We went with my parents and my sister Mindy and my nephew Justin. The kids had a great time! Next year, a Cardinals game is in our future! We cannot wait to take the boys to a ML game!

The highlight of my entire summer was taking Jacob to see Thomas the Train (Day out with Thomas). He loves trains and this was such an awesome experience for us all (not Jordan, he was bored the entire time). We took both the boys, my nephew, my parents and Brad's parents! It was in Bardstown, KY which is about 2 1/2 hours away. Jacob was in Thomas heaven and loved riding on Thomas! The train ride was so much fun and seeing Jacob's eyes light up was worth all the money in the world!

We had play dates and spent time with friends during the summer too! It was a busy summer but a fun one! We're looking forward to Fall and all the fun it brings....the Fall Festival, football, pumpkin picking/carving, Halloween, apple picking and jumping in the leaves! I love fall and am so thankful it's here!

Love the picture of the boys hugging that big ol' Santa at Holiday World. I just posted this same picture of me and Zoe (my friend Heather's little girl) on my blog. LOL!!
